font-family: Arial\">El Museo fue inaugurado el 22 de septiembre de 1988, con la finalidad de presentar al p\u00fablico la obra pl\u00e1stica de artistas queretanos, nacionales y extranjeros, as\u00ed como organizar actividades encaminadas a la preservaci\u00f3n del patrimonio hist\u00f3rico y a la difusi\u00f3n de la cultura y las artes.<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial\"> <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><strong><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial\">Cuenta con dieciocho salas de exhibici\u00f3n, donde se muestran obras manieristas, barrocas, neocl\u00e1sicas y modernas pertenecientes a <st1:personname ProductID=\"la Exposici\u00f3n Permanente\" w:st=\"on\">la Exposici\u00f3n Permanente<\/st1:personname>, que ha ido form\u00e1ndose a trav\u00e9s de los a\u00f1os, a partir del acervo art\u00edstico creado por el Maestro Germ\u00e1n Pati\u00f1o.<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial\"><br \/>\n<strong>Por otra parte, el Museo posee la primera colecci\u00f3n de arte del siglo XX propiedad de los queretanos, con 380 obras recibidas en donaci\u00f3n, gracias a la generosidad de sus creadores, diversas instituciones p\u00fablicas y privadas, amantes del arte y muy particularmente el entusiasmo de los Amigos del Museo.<\/strong> <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><strong><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial\">A lo largo de su historia, el Museo ha recibido a m\u00e1s de un mill\u00f3n de visitantes, tanto escolares como mandatarios de todo el orbe; ha realizado m\u00e1s de 200 exposiciones temporales y m\u00faltiples eventos culturales: teatro, conciertos, presentaciones de libros, subastas de arte, etc.<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial\"> <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><strong><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial\">En el Centro Hist\u00f3rico de esta bell\u00edsima ciudad, Patrimonio Cultural de <st1:personname ProductID=\"la Humanidad\" w:st=\"on\">la Humanidad<\/st1:personname>, el Museo de Arte de Quer\u00e9taro sobresale como su joya m\u00e1s preciada, una gema que a su vez es un cofre lleno de tesoros art\u00edsticos.<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: black;
