Qued\u00f3 hu\u00e9rfano siendo un ni\u00f1o y creci\u00f3 en el medio rural donde naci\u00f3. Cuando ten\u00eda 11 a\u00f1os fue adoptado por una t\u00eda y m\u00e1s tarde fueron a vivir a la ciudad de M\u00e9xico. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Su t\u00eda decidi\u00f3 que deb\u00eda estudiar contabilidad por lo que Tamayo tuvo que romper relaciones con ella para seguir su vocaci\u00f3n de pintor. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">As\u00ed, a los quince a\u00f1os se inscribi\u00f3 en <st1:personname ProductID=\"la Escuela Nacional\" w:st=\"on\">la Escuela Nacional<\/st1:personname> de Bellas Artes, donde estudi\u00f3 pintura en el turno nocturno.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><o:p><\/o:p><\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Hacia 1917, la calidad pedag\u00f3gica de <st1:personname ProductID=\"la Escuela Nacional\" w:st=\"on\">la Escuela Nacional<\/st1:personname> de Bellas Artes dejaba mucho que desear lo que decepcion\u00f3 al futuro pintor<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Hubieron ocasiones en las que Tamayo hizo algunas sugerencias a sus maestros para llevar a cabo cosas diferentes, sugerencias que eran rechazadas por lo que \u00e9l, se sal\u00eda a pintar al patio de la instituci\u00f3n<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Tamayo era renuente a la pintura acad\u00e9mica<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Entre sus condisc\u00edpulos y Tamayo se mont\u00f3 una exposici\u00f3n, en la cual particip\u00f3 con un cuadro de una capilla de Oaxaca y al verlo Diego Rivera dijo: \u00abEste muchacho es pintor\u00bb<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rufino Tamayo\u00a0 Naci\u00f3 el 26 de agosto de 1899, en el Carmen El Alto, Oaxaca.
