Su madre muri\u00f3 poco tiempo despu\u00e9s. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial\">De esta suerte, la que ser\u00eda Corregidora de Quer\u00e9taro qued\u00f3 a cargo de su hermana mayor, Maria Sotero Ortiz, quien apoy\u00f3 a Josefa para ingresar al prestigiado Colegio de las Vizca\u00ednas de la <a href=\"http:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ciudad_de_M%C3%A9xico\" title=\"Ciudad de M\u00e9xico\"><span style=\"color: black\">ciudad de M\u00e9xico<\/span><\/a>. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial\">Se cas\u00f3 con <a href=\"http:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Miguel_Dom%C3%ADnguez\" title=\"Miguel Dom\u00ednguez\"><span style=\"color: black\">Miguel Dom\u00ednguez<\/span><\/a>, visitante frecuente del colegio, en el a\u00f1o de 1791. En 1802 Miguel Dom\u00ednguez fue promovido por el virrey de <a href=\"http:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Nueva_Espa%C3%B1a\" title=\"Nueva Espa\u00f1a\"><span style=\"color: black\">Nueva Espa\u00f1a<\/span><\/a> al cargo de Corregidor de la ciudad de <a href=\"http:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Santiago_de_Quer%C3%A9taro\" title=\"Santiago de Quer\u00e9taro\"><span style=\"color: black\">Santiago de Quer\u00e9taro<\/span><\/a>. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial\">Durante ese tiempo, do\u00f1a Josefa qued\u00f3 a cargo de las tareas dom\u00e9sticas y al cuidado de la educaci\u00f3n de dos hijos suyos, habidos en un matrimonio anterior de su marido. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial\">La pareja lleg\u00f3 a tener una docena de hijos en \u00e9pocas posteriores.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial\">Do\u00f1a Josefa se identificaba con el abuso sufrido por la comunidad de <a href=\"http:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Criollo\" title=\"Criollo\"><span style=\"color: black\">criollos<\/span><\/a> por parte de los <em>gachupines<\/em>, tal como llamaban a los espa\u00f1oles nacidos en la pen\u00ednsula: ella misma era una criolla. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial\">Los criollos eran considerados como ciudadanos de segunda clase por el r\u00e9gimen colonial, en virtud de haber nacido en <st1:personname productid=\"la Nueva Espa\u00f1a\" w:st=\"on\">la Nueva Espa\u00f1a<\/st1:personname> (una colonia) y no en la metr\u00f3poli. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial\">Por ello, eran relegados a puestos de segundo nivel en la administraci\u00f3n p\u00fablica del virreinato. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial\">Este hecho cre\u00f3 un gran descontento con el paso de los a\u00f1os, y los criollos comenzaron a organizarse en grupos literarios donde se difund\u00edan las ideas de la <a href=\"http:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ilustraci%C3%B3n\" title=\"Ilustraci\u00f3n\"><span style=\"color: black\">Ilustraci\u00f3n<\/span><\/a>, prohibidas por la <a href=\"http:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Iglesia_Cat%C3%B3lica\" title=\"Iglesia Cat\u00f3lica\"><span style=\"color: black\">Iglesia Cat\u00f3lica<\/span><\/a>. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial\">Do\u00f1a Josefa se integr\u00f3 en una de estas sociedades, y convenci\u00f3 a su esposo tiempo despu\u00e9s, de integrarse tambi\u00e9n a ella. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial\">En las tertulias queretanas se hallaban figuras de la talla de <a href=\"http:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Miguel_Hidalgo_y_Costilla\" title=\"Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla\"><span style=\"color: black\">Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla<\/span><\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ignacio_Allende\" title=\"Ignacio Allende\"><span style=\"color: black\">Ignacio Allende<\/span><\/a> y los hermanos Aldama.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Josefa Ort\u00edz de Dominguez esposa del Corregidor de Quer\u00e9taro en 1810\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Su padre fue asesinado en su deber, cuando Josefa era apenas una ni\u00f1a.
