cursor: pointer; height: 84px\" alt=\"capillasitina_miguelagelo.jpg\" \/><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Celebra El Vaticano 500 a\u00f1os de <st1:personname productid=\"la Capilla Sixtina\" w:st=\"on\">la Capilla Sixtina<\/st1:personname><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"documentdescription\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Es una de las m\u00e1ximas atracciones de los museos pontificios, pero tambi\u00e9n es conocida porque en su interior se celebra el c\u00f3nclave o reuni\u00f3n para elegir a un nuevo Papa.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Agencias \/ <st1:personname productid=\"La Jornada On\" w:st=\"on\">La Jornada On<\/st1:personname> Line<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><br \/>\n<!--[if !supportLineBreakNewLine]--><br \/>\n<!--[endif]--><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p><st1:personname productid=\"la Capilla Sixtina\" w:st=\"on\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">La Capilla Sixtina<\/span><\/st1:personname><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"> es el tesoro m\u00e1s famoso del Vaticano, aunque fue construida entre 1471 y 1484, en este 2008 el Estado Pontificio celebra los 500 a\u00f1os de la intervenci\u00f3n de Miguel Angel en esa joya art\u00edstica.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Ubicada actualmente dentro de los Museos Vaticanos debe su nombre al Papa Sixto IV della Rovere, quien comision\u00f3 al arquitecto Giovanni d\u00bbDolci para construirla siguiendo el modelo de las tradicionales bas\u00edlicas romanas.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Originalmente llamada <em><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Capilla Palatina<\/span><\/em> obtuvo fama internacional gracias al pintor Michelangelo Buonarroti (Miguel Angel), quien decor\u00f3 con frescos su b\u00f3veda y cre\u00f3 el fresco titulado <em><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Juicio final<\/span><\/em>.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Visitada por m\u00e1s de cuatro millones de personas al a\u00f1o es la atracci\u00f3n estrella de los museos pontificios, pero tambi\u00e9n es conocida porque en su interior se celebra el c\u00f3nclave o reuni\u00f3n para elegir a un nuevo Papa.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Situada a la derecha de <st1:personname productid=\"la Bas\u00edlica\" w:st=\"on\">la Bas\u00edlica<\/st1:personname> de San Pedro, continuaci\u00f3n de <st1:personname productid=\"la Scala Regia\" w:st=\"on\">la Scala  Regia<\/st1:personname> (Escalera Real), en el pasado tambi\u00e9n sirvi\u00f3 como oratorio interior de la fortaleza vaticana.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Algunos de los pintores m\u00e1s famosos del llamado \u00abRenacimiento Italiano\u00bb participaron en su decoraci\u00f3n: Sandro Boticelli, Luca Signorille, Pietro di Cristoforo Vanucci \u00abPerugino\u00bb y Bernardino di Betto <em><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Pinturicchio<\/span><\/em>.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">De forma rectangular posee las mismas dimensiones del Templo de Salom\u00f3n (en Jerusal\u00e9n) seg\u00fan el Antiguo Testamento, es decir <st1:metricconverter productid=\"13.41 metros\" w:st=\"on\">13.41 metros<\/st1:metricconverter> de ancho por 40.93 de longitud mientras su altura es de <st1:metricconverter productid=\"20.7 metros\" w:st=\"on\">20.7 metros<\/st1:metricconverter>.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Una de las caracter\u00edsticas distintivas de la capilla es una alta concentraci\u00f3n de frescos de suprema calidad art\u00edstica, los m\u00e1s sorprendentes se ubican en la b\u00f3veda: nueve escenas rectangulares entre las cuales destaca <st1:personname productid=\"La Creaci\u00f3n\" w:st=\"on\">La Creaci\u00f3n<\/st1:personname> de Ad\u00e1n.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Conocida mundialmente esta imagen presenta a Dios que con el dedo \u00edndice llega casi a tocar la mano de un hombre, junto a esta escena se ubican representaciones de profetas, sibilas y antepasados de Jesucristo.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Fue la intervenci\u00f3n de Miguel Angel en la b\u00f3veda la que cambi\u00f3 definitivamente a <st1:personname productid=\"la Sixtina\" w:st=\"on\">la Sixtina<\/st1:personname> y la convirti\u00f3 en una joya actualmente admirada en todo el mundo; por ello El Vaticano celebra este acontecimiento.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Antes de 1508 el techo del templo estaba pintado de azul con numerosas estrellas doradas, obra de Pier Matteo d\u00bbAmelia, pero grietas por construcciones cercanas convencieron al Papa Julio II a pintarlo de nuevo.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">El 8 de mayo de ese a\u00f1o el joven Buonarroti (33 a\u00f1os de edad) firm\u00f3 un contrato para realizar s\u00f3lo 12 ap\u00f3stoles en las pechinas -grandes tri\u00e1ngulos en las esquinas- adem\u00e1s de algunos motivos ornamentales en el resto.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Pero el artista era ambicioso, consideraba \u00abpoca cosa\u00bb ese proyecto y por ello convenci\u00f3 personalmente al Papa que le dejara todo el cielorraso y otras partes de la capilla, en ellas ide\u00f3 todo un magistral recorrido teol\u00f3gico.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Deslumbra la t\u00e9cnica usada por Miguel Angel quien, a base de relieves con yeso y estuco, logr\u00f3 dar un profundo realismo a las figuras.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Pero la obra m\u00e1s perfecta de todo el complejo es, sin duda, el \u00abJuicio universal\u00bb.
