hace muchos a\u00f1os, \u00e9l, que acababa de recibir la misma distinci\u00f3n, confiaba que alg\u00fan d\u00eda le tocar\u00eda a un Le Clezio que consideraba como el mejor prosista de la lengua francesa en la segunda mitad del siglo XX. Pero el nuevo Nobel es mexicano m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de la bendici\u00f3n del gran Octavio. Lo es desde su llegada accidental a la capital de M\u00e9xico, de <st1:personname productid=\"la Nueva Espa?a\" w:st=\"on\">la Nueva Espa\u00f1a<\/st1:personname>, de la antigua confederaci\u00f3n azteca, en 1967. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial; color: black\" lang=\"ES\"><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ececmsonormal\" style=\"background: white none repeat scroll 0% 0%; text-align: justify; -moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: -moz-initial\"><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: Arial; color: black\" lang=\"ES\">La lista ser\u00eda demasiado larga de los libros, cap\u00edtulos de libros y textos variopintos escritos por \u00e9l sobre M\u00e9xico, sin contar una tesis de doctorado sobre \u201cLa relaci\u00f3n de Michoac\u00e1n\u201d, que nos remite al mundo prehisp\u00e1nico y tambi\u00e9n a <st1:personname productid=\"la Conquista. Tiempos\" w:st=\"on\">la Conquista. Tiempos<\/st1:personname> y lugares de <st1:personname productid=\"la Am?rica\" w:st=\"on\">la Am\u00e9rica<\/st1:personname> ind\u00edgena, mestiza, criolla se encuentran en una vasta obra que abarca tanto a los indios huicholes como a los del Darien, a los campesinos de Michoac\u00e1n como a los habitantes de la megal\u00f3polis mexicana. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial; color: black\" lang=\"ES\"><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ececmsonormal\" style=\"background: white none repeat scroll 0% 0%; text-align: justify; -moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: -moz-initial\"><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: Arial; color: black\" lang=\"ES\">Ciudadano del mundo que escribe con la misma fuerza generosa sobre Nigeria o el Sahara, el oc\u00e9ano \u00cdndico, el Mediterr\u00e1neo de Niza o el Atl\u00e1ntico de Breta\u00f1a, Le Clezio, quien ha pasado muchos a\u00f1os con su familia en la provincia mexicana, ha resucitado para el lector el mundo maya de los rebeldes ind\u00f3mitos del siglo XIX en Yucat\u00e1n, y tambi\u00e9n al M\u00e9xico ensangrentado del 2 de octubre de 1968. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial; color: black\" lang=\"ES\"><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ececmsonormal\" style=\"background: white none repeat scroll 0% 0%; text-align: justify; -moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: -moz-initial\"><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: Arial; color: black\" lang=\"ES\">Evoca como nadie el silencio del d\u00eda, el verdadero silencio del altiplano mexicano, as\u00ed como el ruido vesperal, ruido de agua, de viento, pasos sobre las piedras del callej\u00f3n, ruido de los caminos en los cuales camiones pesados se esfuerzan. Y tambi\u00e9n los olores, de la tierra mojada, del moho en los cuartos fr\u00edos, de los caballos, puesto que M\u00e9xico es todav\u00eda un pa\u00eds de caballos. Cito: \u201cComo en todas partes en las regiones tradicionales, el hombre, de repente, a la vuelta de un camino, se vuelve centauro\u2026 En M\u00e9xico los sue\u00f1os son infinitos como los pasos de los danzantes\u201d. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial; color: black\" lang=\"ES\"><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ececmsonormal\" style=\"background: white none repeat scroll 0% 0%; text-align: justify; -moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: -moz-initial\"><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: Arial; color: black\" lang=\"ES\">Autor de El sue\u00f1o mexicano, Tres ciudades santas, Revoluciones, La f\u00eate chant\u00e9e, ha dedicado libros enteros, cuentos y fragmentos a nuestro pa\u00eds. Adolfo Casta\u00f1\u00f3n lo recuerda \u201catravesando los largos pasillos de madera oscura del peque\u00f1o Fondo de Cultura antiguo en avenida Universidad. Va vestido de blanco. Es alto, rubio y silencioso. Camina lentamente pero sin detenerse. Va a visitar a Jaime Garc\u00eda Terr\u00e9s. No habla con nadie. Es como una aparici\u00f3n. Le gusta recorrer el desierto, el campo. Apenas pasa unos d\u00edas en la ciudad y vuelve a desparecer. Es rubio pero tiene algo de ind\u00edgena, como si no fuese en realidad franc\u00e9s sino un indio albino o como si hubiese perdido el color y estuviese p\u00e1lido de tanto habitar en el fondo de una gruta\u201d. Efectivamente, tan pronto como hab\u00eda terminado con ciertas visitas en la ciudad de M\u00e9xico, por ejemplo con el muy querido Louis Panabi\u00e8re, un d\u00eda director de una Alianza francesa, el otro director del IFAL, corr\u00eda a Chan Santa Cruz o a San Jos\u00e9 de Gracia, Michoac\u00e1n. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial; color: black\" lang=\"ES\"><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ececmsonormal\" style=\"background: white none repeat scroll 0% 0%; text-align: justify; -moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: -moz-initial\"><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: Arial; color: black\" lang=\"ES\">M\u00e9xico en general, Michoac\u00e1n en particular, pueden sentirse felices con ese premio Nobel porque les toca y nos toca. San Jos\u00e9 de Gracia, el pueblo en vilo de Luis Gonz\u00e1lez (y Armida de <st1:personname productid=\"la Vara\" w:st=\"on\">la Vara<\/st1:personname>, la sonorense de Opodepe, naturalizada michoacana), Zamora, sede de El Colegio de Michoac\u00e1n, fundado por don Luis, un colegio que durante largas temporadas, cada a\u00f1o, frecuent\u00f3 Le Clezio; Jacona, con su casa, Tarecuato, que lo ve\u00eda visitar muy seguido a don Daniel, su profesor en lengua pur\u00e9pecha, la meseta tarasca que recorr\u00eda sin cansarse nunca. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial; color: black\" lang=\"ES\"><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ececmsonormal\" style=\"background: white none repeat scroll 0% 0%; text-align: justify; -moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: -moz-initial\"><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: Arial; color: black\" lang=\"ES\">Hay que saber que en <st1:metricconverter productid=\"1963, a\" w:st=\"on\">1963, a<\/st1:metricconverter> los 23 a\u00f1os, \u00e9l gan\u00f3 con su primera novela un premio parisino de mucho prestigio. No por eso, sino porque era un gran lector, el general De Gaulle, entonces presidente de Francia, manifestaba su admiraci\u00f3n a sus visitantes y les recomendaba la lectura del joven Le Clezio. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial; color: black\" lang=\"ES\"><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ececmsonormal\" style=\"background: white none repeat scroll 0% 0%; text-align: justify; -moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: -moz-initial\"><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: Arial; color: black\" lang=\"ES\">Veinte a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s, con 20 libros publicados, nuestro Nobel descubri\u00f3 con admiraci\u00f3n a \u201cMama Rosa\u201d, Rosa Verduzco, la madre poderosa de <st1:personname productid=\"la Gran Familia\" w:st=\"on\">la Gran Familia<\/st1:personname>, un orfanato que contaba entonces con 300 ni\u00f1os, beb\u00e9s y adolescentes, ni\u00f1os y ni\u00f1as (hoy son 600 y Mama Rosa sigue en la raya): \u201cNo lo dec\u00eda a nadie, pero lo pensaba sin parar y la idea crec\u00eda, con ella, se volv\u00eda m\u00e1s fuerte, m\u00e1s precisa. Alg\u00fan d\u00eda tendr\u00eda ni\u00f1os. No tendr\u00eda ni\u00f1os de propietarios y notarios, futuros doctores o negociantes de fresas. No, \u00e9stos iban a ser sus hijos, estos peque\u00f1os maleantes con la cara ennegrecida, enfermos y flacos como gatos perdidos, \u00e9stos que sab\u00edan s\u00f3lo palabras feas y blasfemas, que eran capaces de mentir, robar, hasta matar\u201d.
