Una pir\u00e1mide de unos 4 mil 300 a\u00f1os de antig\u00fcedad fue descubierta en la necr\u00f3polis de Saqara, a unos <st1:metricconverter ProductID=\"20 km\" w:st=\"on\">20 km<\/st1:metricconverter> al sur de El Cairo, anunci\u00f3 el martes el ministro de Cultura egipcio, Faruk Hosni.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Esta pir\u00e1mide de cinco metros de alto podr\u00eda haber tenido <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">una altura inicial de <st1:metricconverter ProductID=\"15 metros\" w:st=\"on\">15 metros<\/st1:metricconverter>, seg\u00fan el ministro. Fue construida para la reina Seshseshet, madre del rey Teti, el primer rey de <st1:personname ProductID=\"la VI\" w:st=\"on\">la VI<\/st1:personname> dinast\u00eda del Antiguo Imperio, indic\u00f3 durante una conferencia de prensa en Saqara.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">En la gigantesca necr\u00f3polis de Saqara, que fue utilizada casi sin interrupci\u00f3n durante el Antiguo Egipto hasta la \u00e9poca romana, se encuentra la primera pir\u00e1mide construida, la pir\u00e1mide de pelda\u00f1os edificada por Imhotep para el rey Yeser hacia el a\u00f1o 2 mil 700 antes de Jesucristo.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">La base de la pir\u00e1mide fue descubierta a \u00ab<st1:metricconverter ProductID=\"20 metros\" w:st=\"on\">20 metros<\/st1:metricconverter> de profundidad bajo la arena y tambi\u00e9n se encontr\u00f3 un pasaje que conduce a la sepultura\u00bb, agreg\u00f3 el ministro de Cultura egipcio.
