Una Semblanza de\u00a0Jos\u00e9 F\u00e9lix Zavala<\/strong><\/p>\n

Historiador, soci\u00f3logo, periodista, catedr\u00e1tico, conferencista y autor de publicaciones hist\u00f3ricas y antropol\u00f3gicas sobre M\u00e9xico. Creador del taller \u201cEl Oficio de Historiar\u201d y el sitio web del mismo nombre.<\/p>\n

Sus temas de investigaci\u00f3n han sido muy variados y abarcan desde la historia prehisp\u00e1nica, las culturas sedentarias y n\u00f3madas, los fen\u00f3menos de fronteras, el sincretismo, la fundaci\u00f3n de ciudades, los grandes misioneros, las lenguas, las exploraciones arqueol\u00f3gicas y los documentos hist\u00f3ricos antiguos, entre otros. Entre sus investigaciones y escritos se incluyen c\u00f3dices, fuentes coloniales, estudios modernos y tambi\u00e9n contempor\u00e1neos.<\/p>\n

A sus investigaciones tambi\u00e9n se une el logro de la antropolog\u00eda nacida en el M\u00e9xico reciente, que propone el pasado ind\u00edgena como la ra\u00edz original de la cultura mexicana, estudi\u00e1ndola desde sus propios marcos hist\u00f3ricos.<\/p>\n

Su obra ha sido publicada por un gran n\u00famero de diarios y revistas del M\u00e9xico que incluyen \u201cLa Jornada\u201d, \u201cUno m\u00e1s Uno\u201d, \u201cEl Nacional\u201d, \u201cRevista de Revistas\u201d. \u201cEl Norte\u201d, e \u201cIntegraci\u00f3n de la Frontera Sur\u201d entre muchos otros. Cabe mencionar que su obra \u201cLa Fundaci\u00f3n de Quer\u00e9taro: Historia y Tradici\u00f3n es parte de la bibliograf\u00eda incluida en el libro \u201cLa Entidad Donde Vivo\u201d de la Secretar\u00eda de Educaci\u00f3n P\u00fablica.<\/div>\n

El escritor Jos\u00e9 F\u00e9lix Zavala tambi\u00e9n ha recibido el reconocimiento a su labor como promotor cultural a trav\u00e9s de instituciones como la Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Quer\u00e9taro, el Instituto Tecnol\u00f3gico de Quer\u00e9taro, el Municipio de San Juan Del R\u00edo, el Instituto Chiapaneco de la Cultura, el Instituto Queretano de la Cultura y las Artes, el Municipio de Quer\u00e9taro, el Instituto Potosino de Cultura y la Casa de Cultura Jur\u00eddica de la Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Naci\u00f3n, con quienes ha colaborado y quienes tambi\u00e9n han editado sus publicaciones en repetidas ocasiones y de igual forma han cedido sus instalaciones para sus talleres y conferencias, que han contado con invitados especiales en los que destacan arque\u00f3logos e investigadores del INAH.<\/p>\n

Su obra se encuentra presente en las bibliotecas de las principales universidades e instituciones a nivel internacional, entre las que destacan la Biblioteca del Congreso de Estados Unidos, la Universidad de Harvard, Universidad de Stanford, Universidad de Princeton, Universidad de Berkeley, el Instituto de Arte de Chicago, el Sistema de Bibliotecas P\u00fablicas de Nueva York, la Universidad de Yale, la Biblioteca Nacional de Reino Unido, el Instituto Iberoamericano de Berl\u00edn, la Universidad de Leiden en Holanda, la Universidad de Amberes en B\u00e9lgica y la Universidad de Deusto en Espa\u00f1a entre otras, adem\u00e1s de ser citado constantemente como referente por autores nacionales e internacionales en diversas publicaciones e investigaciones. Adicionalmente gran parte de su obra se encuentra digitalizada en la base de datos de Google Books.<\/div>\n

Biograf\u00eda<\/h3>\n

Naci\u00f3 en la ciudad de Quer\u00e9taro el 25 de agosto de 1948 en la Calle de 5 de mayo no. 205 en el Barrio de la Cruz, siendo el cuarto de diez hermanos del matrimonio entre Jos\u00e9 F\u00e9lix Maga\u00f1a y Mar\u00eda Natividad Zavala Rivera.<\/p>\n

Sus padres fueron pioneros del alquiler de bicicletas en la hist\u00f3rica Alameda de esa ciudad que despu\u00e9s derivar\u00eda en una empresa formal de distribuci\u00f3n y venta de bicicletas en el sureste y centro del pa\u00eds, de donde las generaciones queretanas de 1950 a 1990 narran innumerables an\u00e9cdotas.<\/p>\n

Realiz\u00f3 estudios de educaci\u00f3n primaria a partir de 1954 con los Hermanos Maristas en el Instituto Queretano en el famoso edificio llamado \u201cEl Molino\u201d, que ahora lleva por nombre Universidad Marista de Quer\u00e9taro, en donde fue parte de la primera generaci\u00f3n (1966-1967) del entonces reci\u00e9n creado bachillerato.<\/p>\n

Recibi\u00f3 su certificado de preparatoria en el hist\u00f3rico Teatro de la Rep\u00fablica de manos del entonces rector\u00a0de la Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Quer\u00e9taro\u00a0Hugo Guti\u00e9rrez Vega<\/a>, uno de los poetas m\u00e1s importantes en el pa\u00eds, adem\u00e1s de destacado diplom\u00e1tico y promotor cultural.<\/p>\n

Estudi\u00f3 la Licenciatura en Sociolog\u00eda y la Maestr\u00eda en Sociolog\u00eda Rural en la Universidad Iberoamericana en la Ciudad de M\u00e9xico en el antiguo edificio de Avenida de las Torres de la Colonia Campestre Churubusco.<\/div>\n

En 1985, ingres\u00f3 al periodismo en el diario local \u201cNoticias\u201d, escribiendo art\u00edculos de fondo y posteriormente como reportero. Fue corresponsal del entonces naciente diario \u201cLa Jornada\u201d en 1986, desde entonces ha colaborado en los principales diarios de diferentes ciudades del pa\u00eds y de peri\u00f3dicos de circulaci\u00f3n nacional, lo mismo que en revistas.<\/p>\n

Destac\u00f3 en su labor como historiador durante la administraci\u00f3n del Presidente Municipal Manuel Ceballos Urueta (1985-1988) al rescatar en forma personal y autodidacta el olvidado Archivo Municipal, fundando a partir de \u00e9l, el actual Archivo Hist\u00f3rico Municipal de Quer\u00e9taro, del cual fue adem\u00e1s de creador, su primer jefe.<\/p>\n

A partir de este hecho comenz\u00f3 la difusi\u00f3n de publicaciones hist\u00f3ricas sobre Quer\u00e9taro, mejor documentadas y redactadas, tanto por \u00e9l mismo como por otros investigadores, debido al servicio que comenz\u00f3 a prestar el mencionado archivo hist\u00f3rico y debido a la importancia de los documentos rescatados.<\/p>\n

Por parte de la iniciativa privada, recibi\u00f3 apoyo expresamente de Roberto Ru\u00edz Obreg\u00f3n, destacado empresario queretano, para poder llevar a efecto algunas de sus publicaciones<\/p>\n

La presentaci\u00f3n de su primer libro \u00abLa Tradici\u00f3n\u00bb fue en el afamado \u00abCorral De Comedias\u00bb de Paco Rabell ubicado en el c\u00e9lebre Barrio De La Cruz, donde se cont\u00f3 con la asistencia de la clase intelectual y pol\u00edtica de la ciudad de Quer\u00e9taro.<\/p>\n

Posteriormente continu\u00f3 investigando y documentando la historia sobre otras poblaciones importantes del estado de Quer\u00e9taro, debido a la relevancia de sus asentamientos prehisp\u00e1nicos y coloniales, produciendo m\u00faltiples publicaciones sobre las regiones y luego extendi\u00e9ndose a diferentes ciudades de M\u00e9xico, promoviendo la Microhistoria, teor\u00eda creada y puesta en pr\u00e1ctica por su mentor y amigo, el historiador Luis Gonz\u00e1lez y Gonz\u00e1lez.<\/div>\n

Crea el taller \u201cEl Oficio de Historiar\u201d en el a\u00f1o 2001 que lo llevar\u00e1 a recorrer mediante la promoci\u00f3n de las historias regionales, la Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Quer\u00e9taro, el Instituto de Cultura de Quer\u00e9taro, la Secretar\u00eda de Educaci\u00f3n P\u00fablica del Estado de Quer\u00e9taro\u00a0 y la Secretar\u00eda de Turismo, entre otras instituciones, formando una escuela y siendo imitado por m\u00faltiples seguidores, hasta hacer de este tipo de actividades una tradici\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Fund\u00f3 en mayo del 2008 el sitio web\u00a0www.eloficiodehistoriar.com.mx<\/a>\u00a0con la finalidad de publicar art\u00edculos sobre historia y noticias culturales, el cual se mantiene a la fecha.<\/p>\n

Ha recorrido el pa\u00eds como estudioso y conferencista, adem\u00e1s de ser el creador del taller\u00a0\u201cEl Oficio de Historiar\u201d\u00a0que ha impartido durante varios a\u00f1os en el CEFAC, en el Museo de la Ciudad y en las principales instituciones de educaci\u00f3n superior del estado de Quer\u00e9taro y donde ha contado con innumerables maestros invitados de primer orden, como el\u00a0Dr. Luis Gonz\u00e1lez y Gonz\u00e1lez en su primera y \u00fanica visita acad\u00e9mica a Quer\u00e9taro para impartir una conferencia magistral y fuera presentado a invitaci\u00f3n de Jos\u00e9 F\u00e9lix Zavala, por el maestro Ignacio Urquiola, entonces coordinador de la maestr\u00eda en historia de la Facultad de Filosof\u00eda de la Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Quer\u00e9taro, ante una gran concurrencia de la intelectualidad local.<\/p>\n

Lo mismo estuvo a su disposici\u00f3n el espl\u00e9ndido marco de la Casa de la Cultura de la ciudad de San Luis Potos\u00ed, fundada por el arquitecto Francisco Coss\u00edo Lagarde, de grata memoria para ese estado y que cont\u00f3 con el apoyo de Luis L\u00f3pez Palau, primer presidente de la CEDH de esa entidad federativa.<\/p>\n

Jos\u00e9 F\u00e9lix Zavala ha tenido acceso a diversos archivos hist\u00f3ricos como lo son el Centro Cultural de Chihuahua, Archivo Hist\u00f3rico de San Luis Potos\u00ed, Archivo Hist\u00f3rico de los Dominicos (a cargo del historiador Fray Esteban Arroyo, cronista de la orden), al Archivo de la Di\u00f3cesis de San Crist\u00f3bal de Las Casas y al Archivo Hist\u00f3rico de Tuxtla Guti\u00e9rrez, al acervo documental del arque\u00f3logo Wigberto Jim\u00e9nez Moreno en Le\u00f3n, Guanajuato, al Archivo Hist\u00f3rico Franciscano en Celaya, Guanajuato, as\u00ed como diversos archivos parroquiales, entre otros.<\/p>\n

Es com\u00fan encontrarlo en reuniones acad\u00e9micas, en las que generalmente gusta tomar parte activa y cuyos conocimientos le permiten hacerlo en los m\u00e1s variados temas de los congresos. Cabe destacar que no le gusta que se hable demasiado de su autodidactismo a pesar de que en la tradici\u00f3n mexicana hay que inscribir a muchos de los m\u00e1ximos valores intelectuales en esta vertiente como podr\u00eda ser el caso de Joaqu\u00edn Garc\u00eda Icazbalceta, \u00c1ngel Mar\u00eda Garibay, Agust\u00edn Maga\u00f1a M\u00e9ndez, Wigberto Jim\u00e9nez Moreno, entre otros.<\/p>\n

Sobre su obra<\/h3>\n

\u201cQuer\u00e9taro es una ciudad a la que hay que visitar frecuentemente<\/em>\u201d dijo el historiador Luis Gonz\u00e1lez y Gonz\u00e1lez, en su disertaci\u00f3n dentro del taller \u201cEl Oficio De Historiar\u201d a invitaci\u00f3n personal de Jos\u00e9 F\u00e9lix Zavala, en el aula magna del Museo de la Ciudad en Quer\u00e9taro el 6 y 7 de noviembre del 2003.<\/p>\n

\u201cJos\u00e9 F\u00e9lix Zavala sabe de la capital importancia que tiene para los pueblos el conocimiento de su propia identidad.\u00a0En las letras esta la vocaci\u00f3n de Jos\u00e9 F\u00e9lix Zavala, en el desempe\u00f1o de servir de reflejo de una \u00e9poca y una circunstancia, \u00e9stas que estamos viviendo\u201d.<\/em>\u00a0Dice la introducci\u00f3n a al libro sobre la queretaneidad,\u00a0escrita por el soci\u00f3logo y periodista acucioso, Efra\u00edn Mendoza Zaragoza\u00a0en el libro \u201c\u00bfC\u00f3mo somos?: Jodidos y perfumados.<\/p>\n

El reconocido historiador queretano Manuel Septi\u00e9n y Septi\u00e9n opin\u00f3 en su momento que \u00abLa franja hist\u00f3rica del escritor Jos\u00e9 F\u00e9lix Zavala que ha abordado en sus diversas obras, corresponde precisamente a la parte m\u00e1s oscura, dif\u00edcil y menos estudiada y que tiene una importancia capital para nuestra identidad, en la medida en que en tanto no sepamos de d\u00f3nde venimos, no sabremos a d\u00f3nde vamos\u201d.<\/em><\/div>\n

Alberto S\u00e1nchez Merchant, quien fuera presidente de la Asociaci\u00f3n de escritores chiapanecos se\u00f1al\u00f3:\u00a0\u201cLa obra de Jos\u00e9 F\u00e9lix Zavala lleva en su estructura historia y tradici\u00f3n, donde la imaginaci\u00f3n podr\u00e1 captar vivencias e im\u00e1genes de un colorido excepcional, donde el autor nos lleva de la mano por diferentes caminos y sus puntos de vista personales\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n

Jos\u00e9 Rodolfo Anaya Larios, investigador del Centro de estudios Hist\u00f3ricos de la Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Quer\u00e9taro, public\u00f3 en la Revista \u201cVentana de Quer\u00e9taro\u201d que:\u00a0\u201cJos\u00e9 F\u00e9lix Zavala tiene bien metido el oficio period\u00edstico en los huesos: Se le ve aqu\u00ed o all\u00e1 ejerci\u00e9ndolo pluma en mano, libreta en mano, grabadora en mano; le pega duro a la m\u00e1quina de escribir que tabletea como ensordecedor T\u00e9lex en horas pico. Hay qui\u00e9n lo ha visto dictar de memoria amplio art\u00edculo, minutos antes de cerrar la edici\u00f3n del peri\u00f3dico. Sus notas firmadas van de Chihuahua a Chiapas pasando por El Baj\u00edo\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cAs\u00ed que leer el libro \u201cLa Tradici\u00f3n\u201d (publicado en septiembre de 1988) de Jos\u00e9 F\u00e9lix Zavala, me ha puesto a pensar que desgraciadamente en muchas ocasiones, nosotros hemos ido dejando que las cosas se pierdan\u2026As\u00ed que esta aportaci\u00f3n, esto de tocarnos a la sensibilidad de las fibras del coraz\u00f3n, para rescatar el seno de Quer\u00e9taro, considero yo que es una gran cosa\u201d<\/em>\u00a0dijo el entonces cronista de Quer\u00e9taro Eduardo Loarca Castillo.<\/p>\n

El Cronista de la ciudad de Tuxtla Guti\u00e9rrez, Eliseo Mellanes Castellanos se\u00f1al\u00f3:\u00a0\u201cEs innegable el aporte de su libro \u201cLa Costumbre\u201d a la divulgaci\u00f3n de la cultura aut\u00f3ctona y mestiza de los chiapanecos. Con impresionantes descripciones y narraciones desfilando entre sus p\u00e1ginas\u201d.<\/em>\u00a0Con ocasi\u00f3n de la publicaci\u00f3n del libro \u00abLa Costumbre\u00bb en el aula magna del Museo de Antropolog\u00eda de Tuxtla Guti\u00e9rrez, Chiapas, teniendo como invitado especial al ecologista Miguel \u00c1lvarez Del Toro y la presentaci\u00f3n del Ballet del Instituto de Ciencias y Artes de Chiapas.<\/p>\n

El abogado y gran m\u00fasico queretano, Felipe Mu\u00f1oz Guti\u00e9rrez dice de \u00e9l, al referirse a su trabajo sobre San Juan Del R\u00edo:\u00a0\u201cJos\u00e9 F\u00e9lix Zavala tiene el don de captar lo que est\u00e1 m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de los simples ojos mortales.<\/em>\u00a0\u00c9l sabe desentra\u00f1ar el coraz\u00f3n escondido de nuestro pueblo. Nos pone de manifiesto en esta obra una parte de nosotros mismos. Apoyado en una visi\u00f3n nueva que se sustenta en los conocimientos que aportan la historia, la sociolog\u00eda y la antropolog\u00eda el escritor escudri\u00f1a el tiempo y los usos para ir m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de los documentos y ver los sucesos con ojos contempor\u00e1neos, de manera que no estoy descubriendo nada nuevo. Si me introduzco en el tiempo, no lo veo desde siglos atr\u00e1s, sino con la mirada de un espectador de esta \u00e9poca\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n

El historiador Enrique Florescano se\u00f1ala que \u201cel an\u00e1lisis de las comunidades ind\u00edgenas en la situaci\u00f3n colonial es resultado de la interacci\u00f3n entre los enfoques de la etnolog\u00eda y los m\u00e9todos del historiador\u2026 gran parte de los nuevos enfoques y formas de explicaci\u00f3n permanecen acantonados en tesis e investigaciones especializadas, asunto<\/em>\u00a0que en nuestro autor no se da\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cJos\u00e9 F\u00e9lix Zavala es un poeta conocedor de la costumbre de diferentes lugares, percibe los olores, la explosi\u00f3n de los colores, al igual que la m\u00fasica, poco a poco va descubriendo las ceremonias y los misterios para la consagraci\u00f3n de su obra intitulada \u00abLa Costumbre\u201d<\/em>,\u00a0mencion\u00f3 el poeta chiapaneco Roberto Chanona.<\/p>\n

El recordado maestro H\u00e9ctor Samperio Guti\u00e9rrez, quien fuera director del Centro de Investigaciones Antropol\u00f3gicas de la Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Quer\u00e9taro, manifest\u00f3 su complacencia por la edici\u00f3n de estas obras que llevan\u00a0\u201cla finalidad de rescatar las tradiciones y la costumbre de los pueblos\u201d,<\/em>\u00a0esta labor es sumamente importante porque es una incursi\u00f3n en un \u00e1rea que poca gente ha cultivado para acercarse al pueblo-pueblo y procurar la conservaci\u00f3n de gran parte de sus valores\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n

En suma, el Antrop\u00f3logo H\u00e9ctor Samperio G. califica la edici\u00f3n de los materiales de Jos\u00e9 F\u00e9lix Zavala como\u00a0\u201cun servicio de valor incalculable\u201d<\/em>. \u201cUna de las diversas concepciones de la antropolog\u00eda consiste en partir de la observaci\u00f3n de las conductas colectivas en torno a la estructura de las comunidades para llegar al n\u00facleo \u00e9tnico-m\u00edtico de las culturas\u201d<\/em>. \u00abAdem\u00e1s, su lectura es amena, f\u00e1cil y comprensible\u00bb<\/em>.<\/p>\n

El Obispo Samuel Ruiz Garc\u00eda,\u00a0en su visita a San Jos\u00e9 Iturbide con ocasi\u00f3n de la presentaci\u00f3n del libro de Jos\u00e9 F\u00e9lix Zavala sobre esa ciudad, afirm\u00f3:\u00a0\u201cMe siento guanajuatense sorprendido de este lugar, porque lejos de estar en un rinc\u00f3n de Guanajuato, est\u00e1 en la historia del pa\u00eds y sobre la obra manifest\u00f3 que \u201cJos\u00e9 F\u00e9lix Zavala solo abre una puntita, para que se siga por ese camino, para se\u00f1alar la huella que esta ciudad deja al mundo\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n

Al actual Director General del INAH, Diego Prieto Hern\u00e1ndez y quien fuera delegado del mismo Instituto en Quer\u00e9taro de 1995 al 2010, le coment\u00f3 Jos\u00e9 F\u00e9lix Zavala, al rendir el Antrop\u00f3logo Diego Prieto su informe de trabajo al frente del INAH en enero del 2021:<\/em><\/p>\n

A Biography of Jos\u00e9 F\u00e9lix Zavala<\/h2>\n

Historian, sociologist, journalist, professor, lecturer and author of historical and anthropological publications on Mexico. He is the creator of the workshop \u201cEl Oficio de Historiar\u201d and the website of the same name.<\/p>\n

His research topics have been very varied and range from pre-Hispanic history, sedentary and nomadic cultures, border phenomena, syncretism, the founding of cities, the great missionaries, languages, archaeological explorations and ancient historical documents, among others. His research and writings include codices, colonial sources, modern and contemporary studies.<\/p>\n

His research is also joined by the achievement of anthropology born in recent Mexico, which proposes the indigenous past as the original root of Mexican culture, studying it from its own historical frameworks.<\/p>\n

His work has been published by a large number of Mexican newspapers and magazines, including \u00abLa Jornada\u00bb, \u00abUno m\u00e1s Uno\u00bb, \u00abEl Nacional\u00bb, \u00abRevista de Magazines\u00bb. \u201cEl Norte\u201d, and \u201cIntegraci\u00f3n de la Frontera Sur\u201d among many others. It is worth mentioning that his work \u00abThe Quer\u00e9taro Foundation: History and Tradition is part of the bibliography included in the book\u00bb The Entity Where I Live \u00abfrom the Ministry of Public Education.<\/p>\n

The writer Jos\u00e9 F\u00e9lix Zavala has also received recognition for his work as a cultural promoter through institutions such as the Autonomous University of Quer\u00e9taro, the Technological Institute of Quer\u00e9taro, the Municipality of San Juan Del R\u00edo, the Chiapaneco Institute of Culture, the Instituto Queretano de la Cultura y las Artes, the Municipality of Quer\u00e9taro, the Potosino Institute of Culture and the House of Legal Culture of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation, with whom it has collaborated and who have also edited their publications on repeated occasions and of Likewise, they have provided their facilities for their workshops and conferences, which have had special guests in which archaeologists and researchers from INAH stand out.<\/p>\n

Additionally, a large part of his work is digitized in the Google Books database.<\/p>\n

His Life<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was born in the city of Quer\u00e9taro on August 25, 1948 at Calle de 5 de mayo no. 205 in the Barrio de la Cruz, being the fourth of ten siblings from the marriage between Jos\u00e9 F\u00e9lix Maga\u00f1a and Mar\u00eda Natividad Zavala Rivera.<\/p>\n

His parents were pioneers of bicycle rental in the historic Alameda of that city, which would later lead to a formal company for the distribution and sale of bicycles in the southeast and center of the country, from where the generations of Queretans from 1950 to 1990 narrate countless anecdotes.<\/p>\n

He studied primary education from 1954 with the Marist Brothers at the Queretano Institute in the famous building called \u201cEl Molino\u201d, which is now called the Marist University of Quer\u00e9taro, where he was part of the first generation (1966-1967) of the then newly created high school.<\/p>\n

He received his high school certificate at the historic Teatro de la Rep\u00fablica from the then rector of the Autonomous University of Quer\u00e9taro Hugo Guti\u00e9rrez Vega, one of the most important poets in the country, as well as a prominent diplomat and cultural promoter.<\/p>\n

He studied a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Sociology and a Master\u2019s Degree in Rural Sociology at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City in the old building on Avenida de las Torres in Colonia Campestre Churubusco.<\/p>\n

In 1985, he entered journalism in the local newspaper \u201cNoticias\u201d, writing in-depth articles and later as a reporter. He was a correspondent for the then nascent daily \u00abLa Jornada\u00bb in 1986, since then he has collaborated in the main newspapers in different cities of the country and in newspapers with national circulation, as well as in magazines.<\/p>\n

He stood out in his work as a historian during the administration of Municipal President Manuel Ceballos Urueta (1985-1988) when he personally and self-taught the forgotten Municipal Archive, founding from it, the current Municipal Historical Archive of Quer\u00e9taro, of which he was also creator, his first boss.<\/p>\n

From this fact began the dissemination of historical publications on Quer\u00e9taro, better documented and written, both by himself and by other researchers, due to the service that the aforementioned historical archive began to provide and due to the importance of the rescued documents.<\/p>\n

On the part of the private initiative, he received express support from Roberto Ru\u00edz Obreg\u00f3n, a prominent Queretaro businessman, in order to carry out some of his publications<\/p>\n

The presentation of his first book \u00abThe Tradition\u00bb was in the famous \u00abCorral De Comedias\u00bb by Paco Rabell located in the famous Barrio De La Cruz, where the intellectual and political class of the city of Quer\u00e9taro attended. .<\/p>\n

Later he continued researching and documenting the history of other important populations in the state of Quer\u00e9taro, due to the relevance of their pre-Hispanic and colonial settlements, producing multiple publications about the regions and then spreading to different cities in Mexico, promoting Microhistory, a theory created and put into practice. in practice by his mentor and friend, historian Luis Gonz\u00e1lez y Gonz\u00e1lez.<\/p>\n

Creates the workshop \u00abThe Office of History\u00bb in 2001 that will take you through the promotion of regional histories, the Autonomous University of Quer\u00e9taro, the Institute of Culture of Quer\u00e9taro, the Secretariat of Public Education of the State of Quer\u00e9taro and the Ministry of Tourism, among other institutions, forming a school and being imitated by multiple followers, until making this type of activities a tradition.<\/p>\n

He founded in May 2008 the website www.eloficiodehistoriar.com.mx with the purpose of publishing articles on history and cultural news, which remains to this date.<\/p>\n

He has traveled the country as a scholar and lecturer, in addition to being the creator of the workshop \u00abThe Office of History\u00bb that he has taught for several years at CEFAC, at the City Museum and at the main higher education institutions in the state of Quer\u00e9taro and where it has had countless first-rate guest teachers, such as Dr. Luis Gonz\u00e1lez and Gonz\u00e1lez in his first and only academic visit to Quer\u00e9taro to give a keynote conference and was presented at the invitation of Jos\u00e9 F\u00e9lix Zavala, by the teacher Ignacio Urquiola, then coordinator of the master\u2019s degree in history at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Autonomous University of Quer\u00e9taro, before a large gathering of the local intelligentsia.<\/p>\n
